For Club Race Secretaries: TauRIS Software 1.47 will not work for this upcoming Young Bird season. We must transition to the International version. The club International software 1.65 is available free on the bottom of the Downloads page. Also download the race file converter for E-Winspeed. Race files will have to be converted before submitting into E-Winspeed. Download the initialization file also. Download the Compakt XL & World clock software and the Maxx cradle and Compakt+ clock software. The old Compakt only clocks will not work with the International software; there is not enough memory. A license fee is required to install the clock software. Race secretaries should purchase the appropriate dongle(s) for their club and the number of clock licenses needed for their members. I strongly suggest race secretaries purchase EARLY online here on the website and you are allowed to make your purchases as a back-order. I want you to know that I tried to avoid these license fees here in the states, but I was un-successful with the TauRIS manufacturer. I was successful in convincing TauRIS to use the International software in the Maxx and Compakt+ clocks. Dongles and licenses for purchase are on the products page in the services category. If you have questions, call me.

SERVICES
TauRIS recommends every three to five years you should have your clock serviced. In May 2011, I went to TauRIS headquarters in Minden, Germany to be trained on how to do the battery replacement, DC Jack repair and clock maintenance. Clock maintenance includes the internal battery replaced and checked to provide 3.2 volts, clock battery amperage test, any necessary parts installed, clock display adjustment and volume check, the clock tested using TauRIS proprietary software, RAM (memory) test, keyboard test, clock cleaned, and TauRIS clock software version 1.47 US installed. I am now providing this service here in the United States instead of having to ship the clocks to Germany. Depending on my backlog, I can provide this service in less than a week. It used to take 5 to 6 weeks complete turnaround to have this done in Germany. The fee for clock maintenance is now $145.00 and includes free return shipping. DC Jack repair is an additional $45.00. This is a common needed repair on all Compakt model clocks. If your order includes other products you wish to buy, please include the appropriate shipping charge for that product(s). Any necessary repairs and parts installed for your clock will be invoiced separately.

Scott Horn spent a lot of time both on the phone and via email, to personally walk me through the entire process of upgrading our TauRIS club system to a new Windows Vista computer, and to upgrade the software on all of our members’ TauRIS clocks. Scott did all of this work to help us, without even knowing if we were going to purchase anything from him! We sincerely appreciate his work ethic, and we will be doing ALL of our future TauRIS-related business through Scott and his website www.tauris.us . What is most important to us is more than just price, it’s about great service, and the level of service we have received from Scott is outstanding. Thank you Scott – you have earned the loyalty and business of our entire club!”
Myself and my club are Raving Fans of Scott Horn. His help with our upgrade to Windows 7 went above and beyond the normal customer service. Thank you Scott!!!!!!!

Our Club uses TauRIS race timers. We got into a pickle downloading our data to the TauRIS program. Scott Horn of http://www.tauris.us was very helpful in helping us get this situation taken care of. It turned out to be a Windows 7 Operating system change. Thanks Scott, on behalf of myself and the Omaha Racing Pigeon Association, Inc. “Salute!” I appreciate his and other good men of this sport who have helped us all when in a jam. If anyone gets in a “pickle” with the TauRIS System, I would be glad to help if I can.
